Severance
Eaton and Severance are very different little towns. Eaton, located just north of Greeley, is an affluent, suburban community with a mix of old, appealing single family dwellings and large, elegant newer homes. While Severance holds tight to its rustic roots and is best known for being the home of Bruce’s Bar, which is famous for its Rocky Mountain Oysters. If you don’t know what Rocky Mountain Oysters are, you’ll just have to visit Bruce’s and give them a try! Here’s a hint: they don’t come from the ocean.
There are similarities between Eaton and Severance, however. Both towns act as "bedroom communities" to the larger Northern Colorado communities such as Greeley, Windsor, and Ft. Collins, but maintain the down home atmosphere found in small towns.
